Tooth re-shaping/Enameloplasty
If your tooth has small defects which you want to get rid of, then, a small procedure called enameloplasty can be done. A few good examples are irregular teeth with uneven lengths, overlapped teeth, and small fractures at the edge of the teeth and so on. Here the offending part of the tooth is removed by simply re-contouring & removing small amounts of enamel with a diamond tipped bur used with high speed hand piece. Re-contouring is a quick procedure with instant results but needs expertise and good judgement. |
