Clear Aligners

Clear Aligners are an alternative to traditional braces and are designed to help guide teeth into the correct position. As in braces, clear aligners users gradual forces to cause tooth movement but without using any brackets and wire. Though there are some limitations but the technique is excellent for mild to moderate crowded teeth or minor spacing. Some examples of Clear aligners are Invisalign, Clearpath, Kline, Inman .

How do aligners work ?

Aligners straighten your teeth using a series of custom-made trays specially designed for you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic trays that you wear over your teeth. These trays have to be changed every 2 weeks approximately. Aligners put gentle forces on the teeth and move them in the desirable direction. After changing the aligner tray systematically the treatment is complete.

One needs to be disciplined and it is important to stick to the schedule given to you by your dentist (for changing aligners). There is no metal/ceramic braces and wires involved it is as cosmetic as it can get.
